Photograph of the original wooden, full size prototype of the Ford/Mercury Capri as presented to Ford of Australia. This body "buck" (no engine, no interior) was used to take measurements and make the tooling, stamping dies, and molds for the metal and plastic body panels. It was created and built by Ghia Studios in Italy, and submitted to Ford management (APAO) in late 1986 or early 1987 for design and production approval.
